Carolyn,

My son and I also saw that ball of fire/light. It was quite amazing and though I have been looking, you are the only reference I have found to it on the net.
we were starting to think we were seeing things!

My wife and I were driving around Western Pa. around 6 pm on Saturday 2/20 and a bright greenish flash appear from nowhere and zag across the sky. Didn't realize shower was going on, glad we got to see this.

Hi,
I also saw the ball of fire that went from North to South in the sky over eastern Toronto at 6:14 p.m. It was very fast, and very large. Wow.

Adrian,

Not all meteors one sees are part of a meteor shower. It may have been and... it may have not been a part of this event. Thanks for the comment.

Keep your head up!

I just saw a very BRIGHT greenish-lit meteor that dropped a bit of red...SSW of Toronto, about 30 degrees up around 6:15pm.

Must be part of this event I'd guess but was way brighter than anything I've seen before!

Saw a huge fireball tonight just north of DC; 19:30, southern sky...travelling west to east across Orion. Possibly the largest and lowest meteor I've seen this close to the city.
