Question: How hot are Perseids Meteors?
Answer: They’re pretty hot, more than 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit (1,650 Celsius). Most meteors vaporize before hitting Earth but now and then when they hit Earth they are then called meteorites. Meteors become visible around 60 miles high in our atmosphere.

Meteor Mark, took awhile to find this comment spot. I *did* buy a T shirt. Are you willing to provide a few pointers on buying a telescope for a new amateur star gazer? I don’t want the cheapest one — I want one that will make me Ohhh and Ahhhh at Saturn rings and things. But, I don’t want to spend way too much, in case I don’t stay with it. Used maybe? (someone who tried and gave up?) Anyway, size, style, etc. I’d like to take it camping next month. thanks!!! *** ZW
