Minor Meteor Shower
The next meteor shower, the α-Centaurids, has started. The α-Centaurids is a minor meteor shower. The expected peak is on February 7th. This shower doesn’t usually produce spectacular results. Viewers can expect up to five visible meteors on the peak date. The α-Centaurids Meteor Shower will remain active until February February 21st. Two more minor meteor showers are kicking off in February, the δ-Leonids starting February 15th and the γ-Normids commencing on February 25th. Unfortunately meteor shower viewing is slow up until April, I will be posting some information on meteor showers and meteor facts. In the meantime, keep your head up!

Linette,
Yes, but this is a minor meteor shower producing minimal activity. I would bookmark the site and check with me at the beginning of each month (or as often as you like) to find out what is going on.
