Do you want to view some meteors? December 7th is the start of the Geminids Meteor Shower of 2008. There should be plenty of activity in our skies this month. Take a look at the Meteor Shower Schedule there is the Geminids Meteor Shower, which are a major meteor shower and six other minor meteor showers. The Geminids is definitely the strongest of all the showers this month, but in my opinion I think that a highly illuminated moon could squelch it. Has the huge meteor in Canada got you interested in meteors? Well you’ve found the right site for your information. I will be happy to answer your questions and always love to see your comments. You can post your meteor sightings here and some of the other Meteor Gazers in the world may have seen the same event.
Where and When to Look? Keep your eyes on the skies after midnight until dawn on December 13th when the Geminids will be at their strongest and bookmark our site for another possibly better meteor shower later in December.
In the meantime, keep your head up!

I am from the UK and i saw some strange orange lights in the sky on the evening of the 8th of decemeber 2008 at around 1800 GMT.
I am certain that they were not air traffic of any kind, and i was wondering if it was some sort of cosmic activity?
there were about 10-15 dots of light and they moved across the sky, and then slowly faded.
some insight into what his could be would be greatly recieved as it has had me curious all day.

James,
I wish I could tell you something worthwhile. Maybe someone else saw it too and will post it here. Doesn’t sound like meteor activity.
